Student Human Resources Association provides the Haas community a look into the field of Human Resources. Given that UC Berkeley only has one class on HR, our organization finds it crucial to educate students of any major about the field. We offer a greater understanding of HR beyond the typical assumption of hiring and firing, such as career information on recruitment, benefits, and human capital management. Our bi-annual networking luncheon gives students the opportunity to meet with recruiters from numerous companies (many Fortune 500) in a casual setting. Company representatives come directly to this luncheon with the purpose of offering HR internships and jobs. We are the only HR organization on campus, and we seriously believe in giving students the opportunity to experience the exciting field.
